Building on the spirit of the recently completed Library Transformation Project, this exhibition presents a renewed focus on artworks that highlight stories that reverberate within our student body and local community.
On display are recently acquired prints in conversation with artist books from Special Collections, which touch on the expanse of histories, experiences, and cultures within America: imagined landscapes, migration, and the pursuit of the American Dream, to name a few.
Including works by Sonya Clark, Willie Cole, Marie Watt, and Carrie Mae Weems, among others, this exhibition puts forth a restored approach to curating exhibitions in Kennedy Library. This ensures that students’ lived experiences, both at and outside of Cal Poly, are reflected in the spaces they live, work, and study.
Gallery Hours: Monday – Friday, 10:00am – 4:00pm
